NOx Emission tests to provide you as our customer with the necessary technical information of your engine emissions like NO, NO², O², CO, CO², SO² and HC, to make possibly adjustments or modification to meet upcoming standards.
Exhaust Emission tests due to new and upcoming requirements demand new measurement techniques. We do measurements of gaseous exhaust emission of engines as well as incinerators. M.A.C.E., Inc. is proud to be in the forefront of emission tests aboard ships. The measurements are done to IMO MARPOL NOx technical codes. We are approved by Lloyds Register of Shipping.

IMO developed an international agreement, MARPOL 73/78, which regulates all type of ship pollution. Annex VI of this agreement regulates NOx emission from ships.
The IMO regulation goes into effect on January 1, 2000. The regulation, which applies to both commercial boats and pleasure craft with engines over 174 bhp ( 130 bkW ), requires that nitrogen oxide ( NOx) emission be kept under a specific level on propulsion engines, auxiliary engines and marine generator sets.
